Description
The cities of Vladimir and Suzdal are of the most emblematic in Russia historically speaking. On the tour of Vladimir and Suzdal we take the visitor to distant epochs that makes this excursion as a journey in far past.
City of Vladimir was probed in 1108, even today it is conserving buildings of the twelfth century between the places the Uspenski Cathedral (Dormition), the Cathedral of San Demetrio or the Golden Gate and other sites of great historical importance. It was the capital of the Principality of Vladimir-Súzdal (an important Russian state created after the dissolution of the Rus of Kiev)
The city of Suzdal is even older in references than the city of Vladimir; since it was first mentioned in writings in the year 1024. In this small city there are many sites of great religious and tourist interest; Among which we emphasize Monastery of Saint Euthymius and the convent of nuns of Maria Magdalene.
In both cities will visit the most important sites (See the itinerary) due that those cities are more than 200 km far from Moscow, It is recommended to start the trip at 6 in the morning to be able to arrive early and enjoy the whole day.
Both cities were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In this excursion you will discover the beauty of the most symbolic constructions of medieval Russia like that of the USSR. It is a very interesting and curious mixture.
